Does Lisar require a proprietary app?
No. Lisar uses standard VPN clients and generated connection profiles. For OpenVPN, download the .ovpn file, then open OpenVPN Connect and choose Upload File. L2TP/IPsec-compatible setup is available where applicable.
Which VPN protocol should I use?
Start with L2TP/IPsec where the target operating system, router or firmware, and current network make it compatible and appropriate. Use OpenVPN where L2TP/IPsec is unavailable, unsupported, or unsuitable.
Is Free really free?
Free is designed for the first eligible connection profile only. It includes 5 GB/month, 5 Mbps Down/Up and one concurrent session.
Can I use Lisar on a router?
Yes, when the exact router or network device, firmware, configuration, and current network support a compatible VPN client mode; VPN server mode alone is not sufficient. Downstream devices then use the router's routed connection and do not need a separate Lisar tunnel or Lisar application on each device. Compatibility is not universal.
What happens when my quota is finished?
New connections may be blocked and active sessions may be disconnected according to plan policy. Upgrade or wait for reset if available.
Does Lisar include DNS AdBlock?
DNS AdBlock is available on Pro, Enterprise and Custom plans. It is a DNS-level option and does not replace browser security tools.
Can I choose my exit location?
Custom Exit is available on Enterprise and Custom plans where router capability and route availability allow it.
Which payment methods are supported?
Lisar Website invoice payments support Cryptocurrency, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Billing questions should be sent to billing@lisar.io.
